Terms of Service

1. The service

StatementXL converts text-based bank statement PDFs that you exported yourself into Excel/CSV spreadsheets. We do not access bank accounts, we do not accept credentials, and we do not generate or alter documents — conversion is one-way: original PDF → clean data table.

2. You must have the right to the file

By uploading, you confirm the statement is yours or you are authorised to process it.

3. What we explicitly do not do

• OCR of scanned documents (accuracy cannot be guaranteed, so we don't pretend).
• Fabricating, editing, or generating statements or paystubs. Requests of this kind are refused.
• Storing your files beyond the 1-hour processing window.

4. Billing promises (legally binding)

• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time in one click; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• Page packs never expire and are never auto-renewed.
• Failed conversions never consume pages.
• Refunds: 30 days, no questions asked, via the original payment route. Refunded page-pack credit is reclaimed.
• Deleting your account immediately deletes your data, including remaining page credit — do it after using your balance.

5. Cards may show two names

Charges may appear from Creem or Paddle.com (our Merchants of Record) depending on the purchase route. Taxes for your country are handled by them.

6. Liability

The service is provided "as is". We verify every parsed row against the bank's own running balance and clearly flag anything we cannot verify — but you remain responsible for reviewing exports before relying on them financially. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
